Local Non-Profit Store Victimized

On 08-16-2012 at 0813 hrs. Morganton Public Safety Officers responded to Habitat Restore located at 307 West Union Street. Upon arrival, employees observed glass broken out of the front door and called Morganton Public Safety.
An investigation revealed that unknown subject(s) did enter the store at some point during the night time hours. Once inside, the subject(s) removed an undisclosed amount of cash and assorted items of jewelry. Damage to the doors is estimated to be $500. This incident remains under investigation.
