Government Information
Morganton operates under the Council-Manager form of local government.
Morganton's City Council generally meets the first Monday of the month. The Council does not meet in July.
City Manager Sally Sandy serves as the Council's chief policy advsior and is responsible for preparing the City budget and directing day-to-day operations.
