Gene Turner Park

King Street

Gene Turner Park is a youth baseball complex opened in 1951 with the first season of youth baseball in Morganton. The facility was constructed and funded by the Morganton Parks and Recreation Foundation, Inc. The second field was constructed in 1981 by the City of Morganton and named in honor and memory of long time youth baseball supporter and field manager Gene Turner. Gene Turner covers 2.3 acres.
