The Human Resources Department provides a wide range of services that include recruitment and selection, managing competitive pay and benefit programs, handling employee relations, developing training and organizational programs, coordinating a wellness program and helping to establish a friendly atmosphere in a safe and healthy environment.

Human Relations Commission
In May of 1993, the Morganton City Council formally established the Morganton Human Relations Commission as an advisory board to advise the Council, the City Manager and City staff on matters involving race, discrimination and human relations.
