Support Services Division
The Support Services Bureau is directed by Maj. Ronnie Rector. Support Services provides a broad range of services that support the overall mission of the Morganton Department of Public Safety. The work units assigned to this division include the following:
- Animal Control
- Budget Office
- Communications
- Parking Enforcement}
- Records
- Training
Support Services is also responsible for the following:
Fleet Management: Public Safety has a robust fleet of nearly one hundred police and fire specialty vehicles/apparatus at an approximate value of five million dollars.
Recruitment/Hiring: Responsible for the recruitment and hiring of all Public Safety personnel to include Public Safety Officers, Fire Engineers, Telecommunicators, etc. (click here for information and to view recruiting video).
Logistics/Asset Management: Supports Services is responsible for the logistics needs of the department as well as oversight of real property to include Public Safety Headquarters and three fire stations.
